We just got back from a quick trip to Lake Placid, NY this weekend! Colby is training for the Ironman, which is July 27. My friend Amy and her husband went with us, since Matt is training for the Ironman too. The guys wanted to ride the bike course (112 miles) this weekend.
While the guys rode their bikes, Amy and I ran around Mirror Lake (where the swim is for the race). Amy is running a marathon this Sunday (!) so she wanted to go easy and run 8 miles. We ran 7 and then walked the last mile. We stopped and took pictures and didn’t worry about the time.
I’ve actually been running a lot this week. I’ll have to post more about that later, but I’ve been getting up before work and running outside. This is huge for me!
Colby stuck his feet into the freezing cold lake! I hope it warms up by his Ironman in July!
